Lovie to Return

The Bears are reportedly keeping Lovie Smith around for next year. Chicago is planning on firing offensive coordinator Ron Turner and promoting Rod Marinelli to defensive coordinator.

The Bears should have been in talks with Cowher throughout this year and allowed him to take over this year's most-disappointing team. Chicago seems like a good fit for Cowher: a hard-nosed team built on defense and a solid run game.

Now the Bears will try to bring in a new play-caller to placate Cutler. Chicago will try to build the team around the whiny quarterback who led the league in interceptions and bad decisions.

In order to be successful with Cutler, one must use him simply as a piece to the puzzle, not the piece. He doesn't play well when all the pressure is on him.

And in a pressure cooker like Chicago, he must blend in with the rest of the team. Fit in behind the defense and running back. That's the only recipe for success. Keep Cutler out of the limelight. He isn't comfortable there.

  1. I disagree strongly.

First, the Bears are not the most disappointing team in the league, the Cubs are.

Second, Cutler is actually a female with a really strong arm who disguises himself as a man in order to comply with NFL rules, so give her some slack, damn.

Third, I heard a rumor that Urlacher is going to play both ways next year, LB and RB, so bank on a 2,000 yard rusher plus 20 rushing TD's and 9 passing, at least!

The Bears will be back and Cutler will be MVP within 3 years. You heard it first.
